The earth teemed with life. Bird calls of every variety hidden in the foliage. Buzzes skimming over the surface of the pond and occasionally the soft splash of a creature surfacing from beneath. If you were quiet and very, very still the sparrows and little birds would come closer and a soft rustle would begin from the undergrowth. After a time the monkeys would quarrel loudly amongst themselves and all the other creatures would retreat. But soon the night time noises would resume and the sky began to envelop the earth in darkness. This day's delight was over but tomorrow was soon to come.
